One of the great things about many ebikes today is they are already set up to handle third party accessories. A perfect example is that Rad Power Bikes has made ‘windows’ available on all of their electric bikes. These windows are made to handle the Thule Yepp Maxi Easyfit. Since we recently had a child we knew we had to purchase the Thule Yepp Maxi so he could enjoy all of our rides. There are of course other options for child seats on your electric bike but the compatibility in my opinion is worth the extra cost which is why I wanted to do a full review.
The child seat can work with all of the Rad Power Bikes models. With the RadRunner, RadWagon, and RadCity you can simply use the integrated racks. With the other models you need to purchase the rear racks. Note that if you’re using a bike that uses a rear rack that you abide by the weight limits. In the case of our RadWagon we don’t have to worry about that as our child grows since the rear rack is rated at 120 lbs.
The Thule Yepp Maxi is usually available on Amazon or directly through Rad Power Bikes.
Below is a video where I show how easy it is to install the Thule Yepp Maxi on the RadWagon.
