The PWR pedal assist system is another significant enhancement. This system offers a smoother ride since it is current-based.

You can now choose between the standard 7.8 amp hour battery and the extended range 14 amp hour battery for $200 more. The frame has been extended slightly to accommodate the larger battery.
Motor Improvements
The motor on the XP Lite 2.0 is quieter, with a nominal power of 300 watts and a peak output of 819 watts. It might not sound like a lot of power but it achieved an impressive 12 mph minimum speed on our hill climb test.

This addition enhances the versatility and appeal of the XP Lite 2.0, catering to a wider range of rider preferences. The belt drive is offered in a single-colorway: JW Black. Lectric XP 2.0 Payload and Height Recommendations
Payload Capacity
The Lectric XP Lite 2.0 is designed to be a versatile and practical ebike, accommodating a wide range of riders and their needs. It boasts a payload capacity of up to 275 pounds, making it suitable for carrying additional gear or accessories.
Height Recommendations
Lectric has designed the XP Lite 2.0 to fit a broad spectrum of rider heights though shorter riders will have an easier time getting full leg extension. Lectric advertises it can accommodate riders from 4’8″ to 6’2″, thanks to its adjustable seat and handlebars. Taller riders can adjust the seat to its highest position and raise the handlebars for a more comfortable and ergonomic riding posture though full leg extension may not be possible.
The standover height is just 22 inches, ensuring easy mounting and dismounting, particularly for shorter riders. This flexibility makes the XP Lite 2.0 an excellent choice for families or households with multiple riders of varying heights, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a comfortable ride.
Detailed Component Breakdown
Brakes and Tires
The 20-inch by 2.5-inch Chaoyang tires are designed for street use, offering a smooth ride on paved surfaces.
Single-Speed Drivetrain
The Lectric XP Lite 2.0 features a simple yet effective single-speed drivetrain, designed for ease of use and low maintenance. On the chain drive model, the drivetrain consists of a 52-tooth chainring in the front and a 16-tooth cog in the rear.
The belt drive version, known for its smooth and quiet operation, also utilizes a similar gear ratio though with a 70-tooth front sprocket and a 22-tooth rear cog. The Gates belt drive is renowned for its durability and requires no lubrication, offering a clean and maintenance-free riding experience for potentially up to 15,000 miles.
The single-speed design eliminates the need for a derailleur, reducing complexity and making the bike more user-friendly, especially for those new to ebikes. This straightforward drivetrain is perfect for riders who prefer a hassle-free, efficient riding experience without the need for frequent adjustments or maintenance.
Lights and Visibility
A front light powered by the main battery ensures visibility during nighttime rides. There’s also a rear light for added safety though it is not brake actuated.
Handlebars and Cockpit
The BMX-style handlebars are adjustable, allowing for a comfortable riding position. They also offer more control compared to the Lectric XP Lite 1.0. Ergonomic rubber grips and a half grip throttle can be found on the right.
Frame
The frame includes two bottle cage mounts and additional mounting points for accessories like folding locks behind the seat tube.
Accessories
Lectric offers a variety of accessories to enhance the functionality of the XP Lite 2.0. You can add a front rack and basket, as well as a rear rack and basket, perfect for carrying extra cargo on your rides. Lectric tends to offer free accessories with your purchase. You can find the current freebies here. We also have an XP Lite accessories video that showcases many of these products.
Battery Removal Process
Removing the battery hasn’t changed with the Lectric XP Lite 2.0. First, fold the frame and turn the key to the left to slide the battery out. The battery is UL certified, ensuring safety and reliability. For added convenience, consider using a waterproof and flame-resistant bag to store and transport the battery.
Advanced Settings and Customization
The XP Lite 2.0 offers advanced P22 settings for those who want to customize their riding experience. These settings allow you to tweak the bike’s performance to suit your preferences, including changing whether the throttle is tied to pedal assist.
USB Charging Port
A USB port located underneath the display allows you to charge your devices on the go, ensuring you stay connected during your rides.
Walk Mode
The XP Lite 2.0 features a walk mode, which can be activated by holding the pedal assist down. This is particularly useful for navigating through crowded areas or when you need to walk the bike uphill.
Folding Mechanism Details
The folding process of the XP Lite 2.0 is straightforward and convenient. Start by folding the pedals, then lower the handlebars, fold the handlebars down with the metal clasp and finally engage the main folding mechanism in the center of the frame. This compact folding design allows the bike to fit easily in the back of a vehicle, making it highly portable. Using a tote can further simplify transportation and keep the bike protected.
Riding Experience
Riding the Lectric XP Lite 2.0 makes you feel like a kid again, many thanks to the BMX handlebars. The motor provides ample power, reaching up to 20 mph with ease on flat ground. In pedal assist level 5, you can feel the full power of the motor, hitting speeds quickly and maintaining them effortlessly. Note that the cadence at 20 mph is fairly fast due to the single-speed gearing. And for starting from a stop, riders might prefer to get started with throttle only.
The throttle is tied to the pedal assist levels, at least in the stock setting so for maximum power, you’ll want to ride in pedal assist level 5. The 300 watt motor might sound modest, but it performs surprisingly well on hill climbs. In our tests, it maintained a minimum speed of 12 mph on steep inclines using throttle only.
The BMX-style handlebars provide excellent control, making the bike agile and responsive. The hydraulic disc brakes offer reliable stopping power. Hydraulic disc brakes are a rarity at this price point.
